Abstract in English
The present study had the aim to compare shear bond strengths of three cements used in bovine dentin and porcelain (Star Light Ceram) throught shear test in two periods. Bovine incisors were included in epoxic resin. Porcelain cylinders (5mm height and 6mm diameter) were prepared. 10 samples for each experimental condition were prepared. The groups were divided in: resin cement ARC; resin modified glass ionomer cement; self-adhesive cement U100. The first two materials were conditioned and received the following treatment: the porcelain received hidrofluoridric acid for 2min, rinsed and dried, with a thin silane layer being applied, before cementation; the dentin was conditioned with 35% phosphoric acid for 20s before the adhesive Adper SingleBond 2 application. Samples were stored in deionized watee at 37°C for 24h or 7 days. Samples were evaluated in shear in a universal testing machine. The results were analysed with one way analysis of variance (=0.05) and Tukeys test. There were differences between studied cements. The porcelain surface treatment influenced shear bond strength, however there were no significant differences between storage periods. The dual cured resin cement RelyX ARC with porcelain surface treatment showed higher shear bond strength.
