A boa comunicação entre dentista e paciente está relacionada com a melhora da satisfação do paciente durante o atendimento odontológico. Neste estudo, foi realizada a tradução para o idioma português, a adaptação transcultural no contexto da cultura nacional e a consequente aplicação para a validação da versão brasileira do questionário Dental Patient Feedback on Consultation. Para o processo de tradução e adaptação, foram seguidas as diretrizes propostas por Beaton et al. (2000) e Wild et al. (2005). A versão final do questionário, denominada Avaliação do Paciente sobre as Habilidades do Profissional na Consulta Odontológica (APHPCO), foi aplicada em 340 pacientes recebidos no atendimento básico em duas Unidades Básicas de Saúde de Belém-PA, no período de agosto a dezembro de 2018. Os dados foram digitados no editor de planilhas Excel e trabalhados nos programas R e Stata 15.0. Foram realizadas medidas descritivas de média, desvio padrão, valores mínimos e máximos, mediana, número absoluto e relativo. Para verificar a confiabilidade do questionário, foram utilizados o alfa de Cronbach, a análise fatorial e a escala multidimensional. O nível de significância foi de 5%. A consistência interna encontrada foi alta (?= 0,943). A versão brasileira do questionário DPFC foi traduzida, adaptada e validada com sucesso.

Good dentist-patient communication is related to improved satisfaction during dental care. In this study, Portuguese translation, cross-cultural adaptation and the subsequent validation of the Brazilian version of the Dental Patient Feedback on Consultation questionnaire were performed for the translation and cross-cultural adaptation process, the guidelines proposed by Beaton et al. (2000) and Wild et al. (2005) were used. The final version of the questionnaire, named Patient Assessment on Professional Skills in Dental Consultation (APHPCO), was applied in 340 users of two public primary care centers of Belém-PA, from August to December 2018. Data were entered into an Excel spreadsheet and analyzed using the statistical softwares R and Stata 15.0. Descriptive measures of mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum values, median, absolute and relative numbers were performed. To verify the reliability of the questionnaire, Cronbach"s alpha, factorial analysis and multidimensional scale were used. The level of significance was 5%. The internal consistency found was high (? = 0.943). The Brazilian version of the DPFC questionnaire was translated, adapted and validated successfully.
