Abstract in English
This thesis aims to analyze the pedagogical conceptions and practices of university nursing faculty. For that, a socioclinic research was carried out, based on the assumptions of the Institutional Analysis. The devices/apparatus used were the invitation to the research, the research journaling, interviews, observations and documentary analysis, individual data restitutions, collective meetings for data analysis, order and demand analysis and analysis of implications. Thirteen nursing faculties from a public university participated in this research. Still, another five nursing faculties from five other higher education organizations from four regions of Brazil were interviewed as well. The data were produced from a set of analytical devices/apparatus interrelated and based on the Institutional Analysis. The data analysis occurred at moments of transcription, transposition and reconstitution in continuous, concomitant and dynamic movements of production, restitution and writing. The results were organized from three main analyzers of teaching in higher education and the nursing faculty: time-money relationship, discussing pedagogical conceptions and practices; and, resistance. Through these analyzers, effects have been produced that analyze the situation of 'teaching in higher education and the nursing faculty', in which there are strong influences of the neoliberal perspective on the teaching work, impelling a faculty professionalization that gives more emphasis to activities that bring money to the university and for the postgraduation programs and incentivizes the economy of time with the activities nongenerative of money, like those of the teaching dimension. The neoliberal model has also provoked that pedagogical conceptions and practices are sustained only if they are aligned to these presuppositions; the others fade away and cannot find support to continue to exist. The resistance movements of nursing faculty against these neoliberal perspectives have not produced enduring devices/apparatus of resistance to face this situation and are being gradually assimilated. Thus, we conclude that the choices of nursing faculties are increasingly each time more based on the neoliberal managerial perspective than it is on emancipatory/critical/dialectical references or presuppositions derived from pedagogical theories
