O planejamento ambiental municipal através da metodologia elaborada nesta pesquisa visa contribuir para a adequação das características físico-ambientais, sócio-econômicas, político-administrativas e histórico-culturais do município relacionado com as atividades turísticas. Neste sentido, a conscientização voltada para a conservação através da educação ambiental se torna indispensável para organizar o espaço turístico, direcionado à importância de uma satisfação das necessidades das gerações atuais e futuras, bem como para a manutenção da biodiversidade, gestão e manejo das áreas de visitação e implantação de projetos turísticos e áreas correlatas. O objetivo principal é elaborar a primeira fase de uma metodologia, abrangendo as etapas de inventário, avaliação prévia de impacto ambiental e de diagnóstico e análise, bem como os demais instrumentos do planejamento, com o propósito de direcionar estratégias e diretrizes, que subsidiarão a implantação da atividade turística baseada nos princípios de sustentabilidade, podendo tornar-se importante subsídio nas políticas públicas locais da área de estudo, auxiliando nas tomadas de decisões para o governo municipal, bem como servir de modelo para outros municípios.

The municipal environmental planning through the elaborated methodology in this research concern to contribute to the phisic-environmental, social-economic, political-administrative and historic-cultural features adequation of the district related with the tourist activities. In this way, the counsciousness concerning the preservation through the the environmental education become very necessary to organize the tourist space, addressed to the importance of the satisfaction of the current and future needs of the new and the generations to come, as well as the maintenance of the biodiversity, management and handling of the visitation areas and implantation of tourist projects and co-related areas. The main objective is to elaborate the first phase of a methodology, embracing the inventory stages, the previous evaluation of environmental impact and of analises and diagnosis, as well as the further instruments of the planning, with the purpose of addressing strategys and guidelines, that will subsidize the implantation of the tourist activity based on the principies of sustentability, that could become a important subsidize in the local public politics of the study area, aiding in the takings of decisions for the municipal government, as well as to be taken as model by other district.
