Abstract in English
In a variety of cases multivariable systems can be treated as single-input, single-output (SISO) systems for control purposes. The works found in the literature for time-delay systems are generally for SISO systems. In this work the application of multivariable control techniques to dynamic systems with multiple time-delays in the input is explored. We consider the application of the Linear Quadratic Gaussian with Loop Transfer Recovery (LQG/LTR) technique to two study plants. The first is an electrical oven used in metal casting processes with 6 inputs and 6 outputs and the second a column of binary distillation system with 2 inputs and 2 outputs. The two plant models present multiple time-delays in the input. We present the LQG/LTR control simulation results along with comparisons.
