Abstract in English
In recent years, the Lean mentality has crossed the boundaries of factory operations management and has been applied to a wide range of areas, ranging from Services, Lean Accounting, Lean Farm and Lean Office, including product development , especially using techniques derived from Lean Manufacturing such as Lean Start-up and Agile Methods. This work aims to accompany this Lean transformation in a Brazilian medical equipment manufacturer that exports to more than 100 countries and is currently under pressure to reduce its development costs and gain speed in launching products in an increasingly competitive market. After the implementation of a successful Lean project on the factory floor, the company started to take the Lean and Agile culture to its product development, thus, the objective of this action research was to follow, understand, propose and interact with six product development teams using three different project management methods and guide the transformation, discuss and compare the progress of product projects, their results and the interrelation with the adopted methods, exposing the verified gains from the adoption of Agile and Lean Start-up in the speed of product launch.
