Em 2016 o herbicida indaziflam foi registrado no Brasil para utilizaçao em culturas perenes, dentre elas a cana-de-açúcar. Este herbicida pertence a classe química alkylazine, de uso em pré-emergência de plantas daninhas Liliopsidas e Magnoliopsidas e possui um período residual de controle superior a 150 dias. Assim, objetivou-se com o presente estudo avaliar a eficácia e o período resisual de controle do indaziflam sobre as espécies U. decumbens, U. plantaginea, D. horizontalis, P. maximum e , em dois solos com texturas constrastantes. Avaliar a seletividade do herbicida indaziflam, obtendo-se o índice de seletividade (SI) da cultivar de cana-de-açúcar IACSP95-5000 em função das espécies U. decumbens, U. plantaginea, D. horizontalis, P. maximum e R. cochinchinensis, em dois solos com texturas constrastantes. Para avaliação da eficácia e do periodo residual de controle foi conduzido dois experimentos em campo, um em cada tipo de solo, no delineamento blocos casualizados com quatro repetições, no esquema de parcelas subdivididas, com o fator herbicida nas parcelas e o fator espécies de plantas daninhas nas subparcelas. Nas subparcelas foram semeadas as cinco espécies de plantas daninhas, e nas parcelas além da testemunha sem tratamento, foram aplicados em pré-emergência os herbicidas indaziflam (75 e 100 g i.a. ha-1) e clomazone (1080 g i.a. ha-1). Foram realizadas avaliação de controle visual e massa seca da parte aérea das espécies de plantas daninhas. O experimento de Índice de Seletividade foi realizado em casa de vegetação, em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com nove tratamentos e quatro repetições, em dois solos com texturas distintas. Os tratamentos foram compostos por doses do herbicida indaziflam (0; 12,5; 25; 50; 100; 200; 400; 800 e 1600 g i.a. ha-1), aplicado em pré-emergência da cultivar de cana-de-açúcar IACSP95-5000 e das espécies de plantas daninhas. Foram realizadas avaliação de controle visual e massa seca da parte aérea e raízes da cultura e das espécies de plantas daninhas. No solo argiloso o indaziflam na dose 100 g i.a. ha-1 proporcionou um controle excelente de todas as espécies avaliadas até 240 DAA, ocorrendo o mesmo no solo franco-arenoso, exceto para U. decumbens. O clomazone demonstrou-se eficaz somente no controle de P. maximum até 90 DAA no solo franco-arenoso, porém apresentou bom controle até 90 DAA para todas as espécies avaliadas em solo argiloso. O indaziflam foi seletivo a cultivar de cana-de-açúcar IACSP95-5000 em ambos os solos avaliados, sendo que o índice de seletividade foi superior a 1 para todas as espécies avaliadas em solo argiloso, não sendo possível a obtenção do indice de seletividade para o solo franco-arenoso devido a suscetibilidade das espécies ao herbicida.

In 2016, the herbicide indaziflam was registered in Brazil for use in perennial crops, including sugarcane. This herbicide belongs to the chemical group of alkylazine class, to be used in pre-emergence of Liliopsidas and Magnoliopsidas weeds, and has a residual control period of over 150 days. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the control and resisual period of indaziflam over U. decumbens, U. plantaginea, D. horizontalis, P. maximum and , in two soils with contrasting textures. To evaluate the selectivity of the indaziflam herbicide by obtaining or the selectivity index (SI) of the sugarcane cultivar IACSP95-5000 as a function of the species i>U. decumbens, U. plantaginea, D. horizontalis, P. maximum e R. cochinchinensis, in two soils with contrasting textures. To evaluate the efficacy and the residual control period, two field experiments were conducted, one in each soil type, on a randomized block design with four replications, on split plot scheme, with herbicide factor on the plots, and weed factor on subplots. In the subplots they were sown as five weed species, and in the untreated controls, they were used in pre-emergence of indaziflam (75 and 100 g a.i. ha-1) and clomazone (1080 g a.i. ha-1) herbicides. Visual control and dry mass evaluation of aerial part of weed species were performed. The selectivity index experiment was carried out in a greenhouse in a completely randomized design with nine treatments and four replications in two soils with different textures. The treatments consisted of indaziflam's doses (0; 12.5; 25; 50; 100; 200; 400; 800 and 1600 g a.i. ha-1), applied in the pre-emergence of the sugarcane cultivar IACSP. 95-5000 and weed species. Visual control and dry mass evaluation of the aerial part and roots of the crop and weed species were performed. In clay soil, indaziflam at a dose of 100 g a.i. ha-1 provided excellent control of all species evaluated up to 240 DAA, as well as in sandy loam soil, except for U. decumbens. Clomazone was effective only in P. maximum control up to 90 DAA in sandy loam soil, but showed satisfactory control up to 90 DAA for all species evaluated in clay soil. Indaziflam was selective to IACSP95-5000 sugarcane cultivar in both evaluated soils, and the selectivity index was higher than "1" (one) for all evaluated species in clay soil. It was not possible to obtain selectivity index for sandy loam soil due to species susceptibility to herbicide in this soil.
