Esta pesquisa tem como finalidade identificar a importância do lazer, como uma das esferas sociais que fazem parte do cotidiano, na formação e no desenvolvimento humano. O objetivo geral da pesquisa é analisar as contradições que se evidenciam na unidade dialética entre as possibilidades e os limites da atividade do lazer na formação do sujeito quando se visa a emancipação humana. A pesquisa fundamenta-se no enfoque histórico-cultural, com raiz teórico-metodológica no materialismo histórico e dialético. O estudo de campo foi organizado a partir de uma intervenção do lazer realizada em uma das unidades do SESC, por meio de oficinas integradas ao Programa de Férias da instituição. A intervenção do lazer aplicada pela própria pesquisadora, com a contribuição de uma equipe de apoio do SESC, fundamentase na concepção da não-cotidianidade, que visa a mediação das seguintes áreas do conhecimento: filosofia, ciência, política e arte. O período de realização do estudo de campo ocorreu entre os dias 12 a 22 de janeiro de 2016, realizado com 4 turmas diferentes de crianças de 6 a 13 anos, composta por 25 crianças em cada, subdividido em duas etapas - projeto piloto e projeto efetivo. A organização da intervenção e dos procedimentos de análise de dados se objetivam numa perspectiva holística e complexa no âmbito do lazer. A análise das contradições emergentes da realidade concreta identifica a unidade dialética entre as possibilidades e os limites da atividade do lazer por meio de três eixos: (1) o movimento entre pesquisadora e SESC; (2) o movimento entre pesquisadora e corpo técnico; (3) o movimento entre pesquisadora e participantes. Como resultado da análise, identificou-se a necessidade da atividade de lazer que visa o desenvolvimento humano ser devidamente organizada e sistematizada de forma a promover a emancipação humana, pois apenas os conteúdos que contemplam a não-cotidianidade não garantem a objetivação da atividade proposta. Concluise que, para a objetivação da emancipação humana mediada pela atividade do lazer, há a necessidade de um movimento em busca da unidade genérica lazer-trabalho-estudo, visando a formação da subjetividade integral dos sujeitos. Sem embargo, para que a formação integral dos sujeitos se objetive por meio da atividade do lazer, considera-se ser necessário um movimento de superação ideológica do funcionalismo francês que persiste no pensamento hegemônico na área do lazer e um movimento de luta que busque garantir condições ideais de existência que sejam promotoras do desenvolvimento humano de forma plena

This research aims to identify the importance of leisure, as one of the social spheres that are part of daily life, in training and human development. The general objective of the research is to analyze the contradictions that are evidenced in the dialectical unity between the possibilities and the limits of leisure activity in the formation of the subject when it aims human emancipation. The research is based on the historical-cultural approach, with theoretical-methodological roots in historical and dialectical materialism. The field study was organized based on a leisure intervention carried out in one of the SESC units, through workshops integrated into the project called Programa de Férias. The leisure intervention applied by the researcher, with the contribution of a support team of SESC, is based on the conception of non-daily life that seeks to mediate the following areas of knowledge: philosophy, science, politics and art. The field study period occurred between January 12 and 22, 2016, with four different groups of children from 6 to 13 years old, composed of 25 children each, subdivided into two stages - a pilot project and an effective project. The organization of intervention and data analysis procedures are aimed at a holistic and complex perspective in the field of leisure. The analysis of emerging contradictions of concrete reality identifies the dialectical unity between the possibilities and limits of leisure activity through three axes: (1) the movement between researcher and SESC; (2) the movement between researcher and technical staff; (3) the movement between researcher and participants. As a result of the analysis, it was identified the need for leisure activity that aims at human development to be properly organized and systematized in order to promote human emancipation, since only the contents that contemplate non-daily life do not guarantee the objectification of the proposed activity. It is concluded that for the objectivation of human emancipation mediated by leisure activity, there is a need for a movement in search of the generic leisure-work-study unit, aiming at the formation of the subjects' integral subjectivity. However, in order for the integral formation of the subjects to be objectified by means of leisure activity, it is considered necessary a movement of ideological overcoming of the French functionalism that persists in the hegemonic thinking in the area of leisure and a movement of struggle that seeks to guarantee ideals conditions of existence that are fully human development promoters
